Harrogate Healing Rooms

What to Expect

Perhaps the prospect of coming to a venue regarding your illness that is outside the medical profession can be a bit daunting. That is why it may put your mind at ease if you read the next couple of paragraphs.

The first thing to remember is that the most important people in a Healing Room are those who come for prayer. As such, you will be welcomed and treated with the upmost respect and consideration. Upon arrival, you will be offered a drink and asked to fill in a simple application form, whilst you wait in reception. This form will then be given to the team prior to you meeting them. They will be seeking God on your behalf as to how to pray for your condition.

When you are invited into the Healing Room itself, you will find a team of three people, made up of either two men and a woman or two women and a man.

The team leader will ask you to discuss a little further your condition and, when all are ready, will start to pray. Praying in a healing rooms often involves the placing of hands on the participant, but only after permission has been sought. You may prefer to close your eyes, but those praying will keep theirs open. During the prayer time, those team members may discuss between themselves what they feel the Lord is saying. They may also ask questions of you and share their thoughts. At no time will you be asked to do anything you're not prepared to do. You will find that the time you spend in the Lord's presence will be gentle, loving and very respectful. Whilst we are ever hopeful and expectant of instant miraculous healings, we also recognise God's restoration can take place over a number of weeks. As such, you are welcomed to return as often as you need to. Last, but by no means least, you should note that you will never be charged for attending a Healing Room.
